There has been a lot about Bill 89 that effects holiday rentals on Oahu. Here is a list of properties in Waikiki & the island that are legal. The photo shows what parts of Waikiki that are legal for apartments to be rented out. There are some on the residential side that are legal so please check the list before booking. Also a large amount of holiday rentals outside of Waikiki are now illegal so there are a lot less to choose from. It's highly recommended that you rent through local holiday rental company as they only rent legal properties.
