Hawaiian Airlines

Hawaiian Airlines From Australia & New Zealand

Hawaiian is a full service airline which means once you’ve bought your ticket you don’t have to worry about anything else as it is all included in the price. Luggage- Entertainment- Seat Selection- Meals

They fly direct from Sydney 7 days a weeks, Brisbane 3 times a week, Auckland 3-4 times a week.

Sydney to Honolulu departs at 9.40pm & arrives at 11.55am
Brisbane to Honolulu departs at 8.30pm & arrives at 10.30am
Auckland to Honolulu departs at 11.55pm & arrives at 9.45am

One thing about Hawaiian Airlines that is the amazing luggage allowance - 64kg each passenger each way. Yes you read that correctly 64kg. As you may already know shopping in Hawaii is fabulous, so when you see that extra pair of shoes & handbag for Mum you don’t have to twice about buying them because Hawaiian Airlines looks after Aussies in the luggage department.

In-Flight Entertainment - You have a personal screen in the back of the seat in front of you. There is a great choice of new Hollywood blockbusters, a large selection on TV shows for all ages plus there is even enough games to keep the big & little kids busy for hours. The entertainment provided has something to keep all ages occupied for the flight.

Seats - When you’re in economy on budget Airlines you can feel like you are squashed in like sardines, with Hawaiian you can definitely feel that you have more space. Most planes are 2 4 2 seating arrangement so a couple can sit alone & a family of 4 can do the same.

Meals - A short time after takeoff you will be offered a drink- wine, beer or spirits good which is always a nice thing to relax you & possibly calm the flying nerves. Try the Hawaiian made vodka. They serve a meal an hour into the flight. Food on planes was never something people liked but its come along way & you will enjoy what they have on offer.

You will also receive a pack with an eye mask, earplug & headphones to make the flight a little bit more comfortable.

Extra Comfort You also have the option of extra comfort seats which gives you more room. These seats are located behind Business class. You get a lot more space between your seat & the one in front. You get priority boarding which makes it easier getting yourself settled before everyone else boards. You also receive a a gift pack with more items than others. We highly recommend booking extra comfort, it certainly does make the flight so much more comfy.
If you are planning on flying onto another island or the mainland once you arrive on Oahu, it is best to give yourself at least 3 hours between flights. If there was a flight delay you wouldn't want to miss your connected so it’s better to give yourself plenty of time.

It’s also good to remember that Virgin Airlines co-shares with Hawaiian so if you book through them to fly from other parts of Australia they will give you the same amount of luggage allowance on your domestic flight to either Sydney or Brisbane.

When you’re looking to book flights I recommend Hawaiian Airlines from your flight from Australia or New Zealand to paradise. You can book your flights direct with the airline, their website is easy to use which makes it stress free.  www.hawaiianairlines.com.au
